okay, i guess it's my turn - i get the "unrecoverable error" thingy. I've tried getting a newer directX version, and so forth - plz help

Unfortunately Intel graphics cards aren't supported by the game and that's probably why you're getting that problem. |

hi, i get the error like '' your video card doesn''t support auto blending'' now i used a scan to look what my video card missed, well it was this:
Video HD transform & lighting and
vertex shader ver: required ver 1.1 | i have 0.0
I clicked We recommend, but then i saw it all cost money =D. is it possible to make my card OK for COD2 witouth having to pay and if it is possible, how? |

COD2 runs fine on a Geforce 6800GT and above. The answer really depends on what kind of money you want to spend and if your motherboard supports AGP or PCI-Express. |

hi guys, i read most of the replies but still can' gett COD ii to work on my computer. tried various things - ran in admin mode, ran under XP mode, got update version 1.3 for COD, got update for DirectX10, got update for DX9.OL etc. Nothing works - game loads and then my screen goes black playing the game music in the background. please help!!

Sorry for the late reply it's just that i've got the flu at the minute.
First of all the Geforce 7300Go graphics card you have isn't supported by the game. I would try updating your graphics card drivers from the HP support and drivers page, make sure you use the one for your extact model. Download the driver, uninstall the existing one via add/remove programs, restart the laptop and then install the downloaded one. |

| Zeus, thanks for reply. I looked everywhere and could only find the driver for Geforce 7200 which I installed and it did not work. I simply got an error message relating to DirextX 9.0 c. I tried running it in both Administrator (could only satrt the multiplayer option as the single player option could not read the D drive) and the XP mode but not luck. Why do you think there may be chance of it working inspite of my current graphic card not supporting the game? |

| hi and thanks again Did what you suggested. downloaded the same version again. 7300 does not seem to exist. still not working gettint DirectX (R) error message whilsy theme music in background. Any other suggestions? |

i have a problem in the game it is :
1. when i complete some objectives or complete a mission the game does not mark the objective or mission as completed
2. some of the events that must happen does not happen for example in the training mission my comrad must fix the ladder or in another mission atank must destroy a barrier but these does not happen
3. when i become wounded the sound of breathing and heart beat is heard but the screen doesnt become red and this condition last until i die and i die easily with one bullet
4. the game doesnt saves |

Sorry about the really late reply.
You could try using third party drivers such at laptopvideo2go.com. These drivers aren't supported by Nvidia but the drivers should support your graphics card.

This can be caused by CD/DVD cloning software such as Alcohol 120%, Clone CD/DVD, Daemon tools etc.
Uninstall the cloning software or disable emulation in the cloning software and try again.
If that doesn't work try setting the transfer mode of the CD/DVD drive PIO only mode. |

I am getting the unrecoverable DirectX error message. I have a Sony Vaio with Vista and intel Pentium. The specs are below. I don't know if it will run on my hardware? If it won't, can you suggest an upgrade?
