| I'm a true believer in craigslist.com
Go to the website, select your city and state and then look at the free items. People give away old computers all the time. Collect you a few of these (I've even picked up a router and network cables before). Practice definitely makes perfect.
Amazon.com is also a good site getting things at a fair price. Look there for older disks like Server 2003, pickup an Exchange cd while you're at it. (Or get a buddy to burn you a copy)
Once you have everything you need you can practice setting up a network and you can experiment with different scenarios.

Hello,
Have you checked with a local community center, community college or vocational center to see if they offer any classes?
Regards,

try joining up at iceteks forum.
red there has that set up on his own server or did,?
and he has a forum room for networking where theres a lot of high school or freshman college guys that are talking about using turning and other programming as well as setting up networks.
its kind of slow there now but asking a question in there about networking will get a reply fairly fast. you would be learning with guys that are also learning or have just done it.

Sorry, the forum at IceTeks.com/forums are not accepting any new registrations as of this date: 08-April-2009 10:09 PM ET and are not letting Guests ask questions, either, but seems available as a ROM (Read Only Memos).
(Forum didn't seem to fit right as a ROF)
