What's your (favorite) camera?

My favourite camera ?

It's the one that I left out in the rain all night and it still works. Must be good. It's a Kodak 6230 I bought a couple of years ago to take pictures of things to sell on eBay. Only 2.1 mega pixel, but it does the job. After finding out it still worked when it had dried out, and hadn't lost the pictures I'd yet to upload to the compputer, it gets my vote !

I have a HP M417 5.2 megapixel which is compact and works very well.

I have a Nikon D50 which I absolutely love, simple enough for the rest of the family to "point and click" yet sophisticated enough to give me the control I want....without paying a fortune for those esoteric functions of much higher priced cameras. The battery lasts forever (have taken over 1,500 shots on one charge) and Nikon's software is simple and intuitive. I sold all my SLRs about 8 years ago and finally feel like "I'm back" with the D50.

I have a Kodak DX4530 that I absolutely love. It's easy to use and takes great pictures.

Well I have a Kodak C330, and I've been looking at the P850 for a long time, but first I'm interested in buying a 35 mm camera. can anyone recommend a good one thats got all the features for under 200?

I got started in photography with the Asahi Pentax 35mm SLR which I got while stationed in Japan in the early 60's.That camera broke so I found a company that sold older equipment and now I have 2 more Asahi Pentax cameras with the screw mount lenses.Manual cameras with no battery in sight.By getting cds I can use editing programs.
recently I purchased a Canon S520 and I'm well pleased with it. 4 megapixels but great photos. poor battery life but I'm not used to them any way.Way too many functions on it. I like the manual cameras that give me the control.When I move up the Nikon D50 would be my choice.

I have Sony CyberShot DSC-W15 & really satisfied with it's quality.

I used canon, its a cool one.

I have 2 Sony Cyber-Shots the latest one is the DSC-N2 10.1 megapix. a great compact camera!
Excellent low light capability and virtually no shutter lag.

The other one is a seven year old DSC-P5 that my uses often and the original rechargeable battery still works fine!
It's only a 3.2 megapix. but still takes wonderful pics.

Just bought a new Kodak Z812IS a couple of weeks ago and it's great. 12X optical zoom, 8.1 MP and image stabilization. I still have my other Kodak but I'm letting boy use it as the old Fuji I gave him finally bit the dust.

I'm sure that almost anyone would say that it's the last camera they bought.

Yesterday, I got a real deal on a Polaroid Digital i531. Only $69!

It's only half the size of my Kodak digital and is actually twice the camera.
With gobs of features, 5-megapixel and settings galore, it also has both optical and digital ZOOM.
It can also capture Video with sound. I've not tried that yet.

Being only the size of a pack of Regular Size Cigarettes, it fits easily in the shirt pocket. It's a beautiful little camera for the price.

I picked up a Canon PowerShot SD100 IS Digital ELPH camera for my trip to Prague. Not being very knowledgeable about cameras, I picked it up after some recommendations from co-workers who are into photography.

It is about the size of a pack of cards, takes 8MP pictures, uses standard SD/SDHC memory cards and has a standard 5-pin mini-B USB connector. The only thing I really don't like about the camera is that it uses a proprietary battery; I would much rather have a camera that uses standard batteries available anywhere. Still, the larger battery cell does let it take more photos per charge, so I guess that's one advantage.

Well, I love my old Nikon FE and never use the "automatic" setting. So now, how do I decide which digital to look at seriously?? I have heard Nikon are good and so are some Pentax digital-----where to start. I do not want it to do everything for me, still want some manual features.

Any suggestions, I love the quality of slides and want to get similar resolution? Thanks.

I am enjoying learning on my Canon Digital Rebel Xt.

I have just purchased an Olympus SP-560UZ. This camera has everything I need, an 18X optical zoom, 10 megapixels, , Optional manual settings, numerous scene setting options and the price is right at about $350. I preferred this to the newest Olympus the 570 which is technically slightly better but requires two hands to operate.
if you are wanting great images, easy to master controls and a reasonable price this is hard to beat. It isn't a "drop in your pocket" camera but it isn't a huge hassle to carry around.
