Can any one tell me how to edit printer drivers, so that i can remove the colour out of the program

You shouldn't have to edit anything. In the "Properties" of your Printer (Control Panel), you will find a setting where you can choose between "Colour", and "Black" print default. You can even create another "Printer Icon" to default to Black! That way you can just switch back and forth, depending on what you to do at the time!
