Hi....Fellow Gnomies....I've just started a course at my University about C programming and our instructor has told us that we would be programming inside linux and in GCC.... it'll be good if you can tell me about GCC inside windows...coz I downloaded CYGWIN whole package, GCC is there but I don't know how it works.Though they'll tell us about the compilation method...but I just wanted to be ahead and start it before my instructor tells me......Thanks in Advance....

If your instructor wants you to compile in Linux why are you going to ignore that and go into Windows? Why not just download a live distro like Knoppix or Slax and boot into Linux when you want to work on classwork?
