VICTORYYYYY!!!!
jesus god help me i am so freaking happy, finally i see my old lovely desktop.
i learned alot thanks to this problem tho i have no freaking idea what caused this, the details are here since i think it may help others who have this problem.
basically the amon.sys file which is a driver for nod32 caused me to get the BSOD when bootin the computer(details of the original problem below)
the whole freaking thing got solved when i just deleted the amon.sys file...i guess no deadly computer problems on the menu today tho what bugs me is this,i have had nod32 for over 2 years on my computer, and only now it caused this problem, when i read about it on microsoft it turns out that nod32 isnt actually compatable with windows XP sp2...big WTF i guess...oh well atleast im proud that i fixed this thing without anyones help rofl.

MY BSOD error
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
*** STOP 0x00000050 (0xF60F50000, 0x00000000, 0xF60B3CFA, 0x00000000)
*** amon.sys Address F60B3CFA base at F60AC000, Datestamp 41542f82
i read about how to fix it and the most likely causes i can have are damaged hardware(like beating my computer or something)
deinstalling some hardware that might cause this(i downloaded a ISO recorder v2 a little time ago) and its a dodgey file so i think this might be the cause since it install itself into the system or something, anyways i cant remove it in safe mode...WTF since safe mode is the only way i can use this computer at the moment, the add or remove program function wont let me remove it,if i manually try to delete the files i was only able to delete all files but one,ISORecorder.dll if i try to delete that it gives me the message that i should make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file isnt currently in use,i checked the processes and it isnt on,any ideas how i can eliminate this freaking file?
the other reasons of why this error appears,i did not understand like
a corrupted NTFS volume or defective RAM,video ram and many more, which i hope are not the problems.
If the problem is caused by any of my hardware or drivers, how can i check which one,and how can i go into event viewer and check the system log.
Im usin windows XP professional SP2
If anyone knows whats causing this problem and how can i fix it i would be happy.
i just found out that amon.sys is a nod32 antivirus driver or whatever, and that some malware can camoflauge them under that name...basically since at the BSOD it says this is what caused the stop error...can i delete this thing and nothing happens to the computer?(OR how can i edit or stop drivers/this driver)
since the amon.sys file is under C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers
it should show up in system device manager in the system device section, but i cant identify any of those as something that would work with nod32... basically is it safe for me to delete that file? if i click properties on amon.sys it says its a system file...GAAH im confused,i dont know if i should choose to delete it or not, hoping that someone actually is awake at this hour and knows an answer to this question. |

It seems that NOD32 might well be conflicting with something on your PC, most likely to be software although the 'STOP 0x00000050' error usually indicates a hardware conflict.
All I can suggest is to try removing NOD32 and using an alternative AntiVirus program like AVG Free instead - Link. It's an excellent program

And AVG 7.5 FREE is FREE!
To my knowledge, it has never conflicted with any OS or reputable software.
The free version won't work on Vista Ultimate (64 bit OS). The Pro version will.
And the latest versions are Powerful Trojan removers too.
I've even seen it remove spyware, when the spyware started acting too much like a virus.
I'm sure glad the above problem was solved.
Good Going!

Hello,
You might want to try installing a more recent version of ESET NOD32. The program was updated in 2004 shortly after Microsoft Windows XP SP2 was released to add support for it, so if you are having SP2-related problems with it then you may have a very old version of the program on your computer. Anti-virus software is one of those things you really want to keep up-to-date with on your system, not just for protection purposes, but to resolve things like the compatibility issue you experienced.
