Just now finished with an XP install on my sisters computer. I am trying to password protect the administration side of her machine but for some reason I cant get there, keep getting login errors. I have made no change there, the install is new. What am I overlooking. Need help here.

Thanks

start > run "control userpasswords2" will bring up the users on the computer. You can edit their properties (and passwords) from there if you are logged in with admin access.

Hi Mike, If XP-home, go into safe mode, (click F8 at startup) and
you should be asked to set an admin pw. Keep it simple, and write it
down somewhere. Thank you Sil, for other solution. vbw, zzron
