I own an aPad (Chinese Android-based iPad knockoff).

Until recently the preinstalled Youtube app worked fine.
Unfortunately now I can get a listing of movies, but when I click to view, I get a 'page unavailable'. - every time, different movies

Did Youtube change things?
If so, is there a way to upgrade / patch my aPad?
The Android OS is V1.7.2, and it's an aPad M800 if that helps any...

Hello,

Have you checked with the manufacturer of the aPad M800 (or with Google or YouTube) to see if a new version of the YouTube app is available?

Regards,

Thanks!

Your reply jogged my grey cells ^-^

Found a forum on aPads / iRobots @ h**p://www.apad.tv

Seems my situation is not unique. Other people are having the exact same issues.

Unfortunately, what is being proposed there is bordering on oxymoronity ... uninstall all new apps & retry

Did that, no change in youtube.

Does the collective mind here have any other insights? Embarassed

I went one step further yesterday evening, and reverted to factory settings. After reinitialising the aPad, I retried the Youtube app - same results: listing, but once I pick a video to view, I get 'page not available'.

I'm thinking Youtube changed something in the way people access the videos. And, of course, no way to find an update to the app in the appstore...
