Xp Operating System On Ebay

Hi.
I currently have XP Professional (which is not "recognised" by Microsoft) installed on my computer. This means that it will be impossible to reinstall should it be required. Therefore as an insurance I intend to purchase a copy of XP Home from eBay. However I am a bit confused as to what is offered. There are multiple listings for XP Home + SP2 with prices varying by up to $40. I presume XP Home is XP Home and therefore the cheapest should suffice. Is this correct?

I would never buy a copy of XP off Ebay because you never know what your going to get. It could be a copied version or a version that's already been activated etc etc...
Best bet is to buy one from a shop.

Yes you likely would be installing a pirate copy of XP on top of your pirate copy of Xp. This will solve your Windows Activation problems how?

Also Xp Home is a DOWNGRADE from Xp Professional. You can't install it over XP Pro. IT will break things. You need to get Xp Pro.

As for your current version, it'll die for sure someday and you'll need an exact version to "fix" it with a legit KEY. If you purchase one from ebay, make sure it's New and Sealed In Box. Also, check the feedback and make sure no one else has suffered because the seller has sold non legit software.

We here at LG do not condone helping anyone circumvent their pirated software, even if it's working now and breaks later so I'll be closing this thread with one last word, buy the software legally and then you don't have this problem.
