Help!

Hi, I have a Compaq Presario R3000 laptop and when I boot up it shows the compaq logo then goes straight to the the screen where you could choose safe mode, safe mode with networking, last known, etc... so when I try to start it normally it goes to the windows loading screen with the blue scrolling thingy. After a couple of seconds a blue screen pops up and all of a sudden it brings me back to the compaq logo and then the screen with the options. When I pick any of the safe modes, all kinds of these [multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS....]
starts coming down. I need major help on this. The Last Known Config doesnt work either. HELP?

Welcome to the forum. Smile

Do you have a Windows CD or a recovery disk?

Have you tried safemode?

If you have a Windows CD - you can try a repair:

Repair install

Let us know. I'm sure others here may have more suggestions for you, so hang in there. Cool
