Updated: White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said closing the detention center at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, was a “hasty decision,” in his daily press briefing with reporters. But he later backtracked in the briefing and clarified that he was referring to decisions made under George W. Bush.
The White house spokesman was asked whether it was a "mistake" to request the resources to close Guantanamo Bay without a plan..... |
Source.
Yes it was a hasty decision especially since congress won't give him the money to do it and it was poorly thought out.
I see we are still in "blame Bush" mode as well, correct me if I am wrong but it was Obama who signed the order to close Gitmo not Bush right? |

That's what I thought too. I had to reread the article to see if it explained how that particular leap of logic was being made. But no such explanation was offered and the media didn't press Gibbs for details.
Obummer and company will use the blame Bush excuse as long as they can get away with it. When it no longer works then they will just find another scapegoat to blame. |

Yea but that was lame and I think people are starting to get tired of that particular excuse. |

You mean you think people will realize that Obama asked for this job and complaining that he got it is hypocritical? I'm not holding my breath. |
