Certain websites are not loading for me since I reformated and installed Windows 7. I currently can't get to sites like ign.com and java.com. All it says is Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage. I have AVG Anti-Virus Free and PeerBlock running if that makes any difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i'm having the same trouble on xp pro sp 3 and i did not reinstall it.

i have to open this lockergnome forum in one tab.
then when i get that page open i have to start another tab and come here then click on the login link.

then after i get logged in if i do? i might have to do this tab stuff to get the first page after i clicked the log in link. ? then click it again and come here to get in to the general forum.

then i can open the forum room and after it loads i might get to see one post or i might have to start another tab and and run through all the pages on that tab to see a post.

then i might get lucky and am able to reply to that post, or i will have to start another tab and run through the pages to get to the reply button on a post and get to reply.

then i will more likely have to do the tab again to run through the pages on it to get to see the forum again.

each time i have to start the tab i close the other tab after the next one has loaded the first page of the forum.,

this is not just on lockergnome. this is any forum on the web. including the skydrive site of microsoft's which we get when use hotmail.

that is just forums right? wrong its web sites also. and even doing searching on bing or google or any other search sites.

i'm so sick of the one page and start a new tab to get to another page its almost to the point of driving up to washington state and doing some one one nuggies. to the developers up there.

Mad yes i had to do the tab just to read this reply i did. and i might have to do it again since i'm editing it now. Mad

It is a good idea to have a 2nd browser installed to troubleshoot problems. If the problem exists in both browsers, then you know it is some setting on your computer. If the problem only exists in one browser, then you need to look through the settings in the browser, security programs, and firewall.

Anyway to fix it without downloading a different browser?

Hello,

You may wish to verify you have the latest versions of Adobe Flash and Oracle (formerly Sun) Java installed on your computer.

I would, however, recommend following ZLim's advice to test with an alternate web browser.

Regards,

got tired of it tonight i was unable to get to any site it was getting stupid.
so i finally went off line and ran all the cleaning and other mainta.. programs i have then i logged in to admin mode and did them all again.
then i rebooted and got online to majorgeeks. it was still making me do the loading of tabs. but i did get there and got maxthon downloaded.

i am now on here with maxthon but it too seems to have a little trouble with the tabs needing re done for each page but one or two is better then 30 or 40.

i am still having trouble with maxthon doing the same thing. not a big surprise since it uses ie's engine.

i have run av scan and did not find anything like that. this has been going on with my computer here for months. i just can't seem to get it working, even when i set the options in ie 8 to the same as on the other computer. Confused

I can't stand the way IE "protects me from myself"

GO NUCLEAR... IT WORKED FOR ME.

Get Ubuntu GNU/Linux and fix all these pesky problems.
