Hello,
According to this article on Paul Thurrott's web site, Amazon.Com is claiming Microsoft Windows Vista will be available January 30, 2007.

No sooner than it's released, the Russians or their neighbors will have free versions available.
If the full release is as big a piece of crap as the Beta version I bought from MS, then I doubt the Russian version will be any better.
I'm guessing that on the day I die, my PC will still be running Windows XP.
Cheers, Y'all!

Mine may all be running Linux. Now that Linspire is offering their free Freespire including ALL free updates thru CNR, this may be, just may be the time to think about switching. Plus I plan on living another 30 years and I don't think I could put up with XP for that long. |

Hello,
Functionality, stability and performance has been improving with each new build, and I am expecting Microsoft Windows Vista to be as "good" as the gold (RTM) versions of its predecessors were when they were first released.

| Build 5600 is already better than Xp IMHO. I just don't care for the price. |
