I use Dazzle 90 and Roxio to capture a TV program but the output AVI file is extremly large (20G). How do I reduce file size without sacrifice on quality?

i am not familiar with your software, but other video capture programs I have used have had an option in the menus somewhere to do compression on the fly. Is that available?

Dazzle DVC 90 is the capture hardware and Roxio 2010 is the software for use to capture. What software are you using for capturing? Does the software you use have options to choose various output file type?

Thanks,

A colleague turned me on to this S/W, which I have downloaded & installed, but have yet to configure settings nor to actually use, but if the Youtube video is to be believed, it promises to be marvelous indeed.

D/L Camstudio from Sourceforge or here: h??p://camstudio.org/

Fairly good demo video on (where else?)Youtube at:

I am very excited at the prospect of using the S.W in conjuction with the video cap PCI card which will be part of my new system, being rebuilt/upgraded even as we speak (so to speak) heh heh <G>

BTW, any body wanting to save Youtube videos to HD can do so quite easily by cutting & pasting theURL of the video into h??p://www.savetube.com/
