Hello,
It sounds like Windows Explorer is configured to display program icons instead of thumbmails. Here's how to fix this, step-by-step:
- Open Windows Explorer (filename: EXPLORER.EXE) by clicking on the Computer icon on the Desktop.
- From the main menu bar, select Tools -> Folder Options. The Folder Options window will appear.
- In the Folder Options window, click on the View tab.
- In the Advanced Settings pane uncheck (deselect) the following items:
- Always show icons, never thumbnails
- Display file icon on thumbnails
- Click on the Apply to Folders button to commit the change, and then click on the OK button to close the window.
You should now be able to see pictures' thumbnails when viewing directories.
