Hello gnomies,
Simple question. Is Speed Up My PC worth the money or is it a waste of money, resources and time?
I have it and it is due for renewal. I can't see that it helps.
Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks |

| Probably not worth it. After some initial tweaking to be rid on un-needed services, and then estabishing good house keeping -- anti-virus/spayware, cleanup old temp file, disk defrag -- the only way to a faster PC is, well, buy a faster PC.
I'll let Doc expound on the many ways to tune a PC for performance..

Most of those "we're going to fix your world" programs are nothing but scams to get your hard-earned money away from you.
We've gone through all the clean up and speed up tips and tricks here in this forum so many times that to do it again would just be a waste of valuable space.
But to answer the OP's question..... "NO don't waste another cent on that program".
* (or any other program that says they can fix or speed up your PC)
Cheers Mates!

There's plenty of free stuff that will do as much, or more.
And if you choose with care, at least they won't do any harm.
ccleaner for a basic utility.
I have Glary Utilities for a bigger clean up.
It probably doens't make much differnce, but I still use it from time to time.
Cheapest way to a quicker PC is stick in some more memory, if you're within the maximum.. |

Save your money and use it to buy RAM, if more can be added to the computer.
You can fine tune your computer better than any program and you learn alot about the hidden dross on your computer in the process. |
