I have been browsing this forum threads for a solution to my problem but no luck so far. So here it is:
Im in the process of re-installing my sims 2 and all my expansions after I had to re-install windows.
Everything has worked fine for me until now when Im trying to install Pets (alredy installed sims 2, Bon Voyage, Mansion&Garden, Apartment life).
The installing process goes fine untill I get to the last part with the update wizard. First it tells me that my sims 2 is already up to date. Next pop-up window says ''Before continuing the update wizard, make sure that sims 2 is not runing'' and then when I press OK I get ''The update process did not complete succesfully. Instalation will now terminate''
After reading other threads I have tried to 1) restart my pc 2) disable my firewall temporary during the install but neither did help.
Could it be my CD that is damaged? Maybe someone have an idea?
