Help!

Hi I'm hoping someone could help me...

I bought the Sims 3 on Ebay, I tried to install it, but when I put it in my DVD rom or CD rom, it doesn't read it. Then when I go to My computer and double click on the drive, and it says "Please insert disk" but the disk IS in it....

So I contacted the seller of Ebay and told them it was defective, they just sent me another copy and it's doing the same thing...I need to know if it's my hard drive...

Here's what I'm using...

Windows XP (Service pack 3)
I have a Saphire Radeon 9250 128MB graphic card
AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3000+
2.10 GHz, 1.25 GB of ram

My other games work fine in my roms....What's happening?? Confused

Hi nao_shines and welcome to Lockergnome!

Please download and run SysSpec. Run the file > click edit > click copy to clipboard and then paste it with your reply. This will give me a full list of your specs (including the make/model of your DVD drive).

Is there a different program I can use? Because this one wants me to download and install all kinds of stuff before using it....
