Sims 2 Nightlife

My daughter is Sims 2 mad....consequently, I have to sort out her computer problems! We've recently bought Nightlife, and already have Pets, University, Teen Style, Open For Business and H&M (I think that's all!) Anyway, we've tried loading Nightlife, and it keeps coming up with an error message. Both discs load fine, but, when you ask it to open, it says there's an error and to insert the disk for any one of the above - starting with Teenlife and then H&M. She has successfully loaded it on to a PC, and we can't work out why it won't load onto her laptop, with all the others. I've tried uninstalling Nightlife, and then Teen style and re-loading Nightlife, followed by Teen Style. I don't want to unload everything and then re-load it all and find out that none of it works... If anybody can help she'd be really grateful.
