I just recently purchased an Inspiron 1525 Dell Laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium, and in the three days I've had it, I've installed all of my Sims 2 expansion packs.
Sims 2.
Sims 2 University.
Sims 2 Nightlife.
Sims 2 Pets.
Sims 2 Open for Business.
Sims 2 Seasons.
Sims 2 Bon Voyage.
Sims 2 Freetime.
I've had the original through seasons for a while and it worked just fine on my last computer. Anyway, the problem is this:

| Everything will load smoothly, the screen will change to the Neighborhood choices and it doesn't matter which is clicked. Veronaville, Pleasantville, Strangeville, Riverblossom Hills, or even Desiderata; they all play the same. Long story short, if I snatch and load a family from the bin, I can easily play them. But if I try and create my own family, as soon as I click the check mark in Create a Family, it freezes and doesn't respond. |
I've lowered the graphics level and still this has happened. As well, I've downloaded Directx 9.0, even checked to see if my drivers were updated.
Should I just uninstall FreeTime? Is Bon Voyage included in this mess? What can I do?
