My Sims 2 Double Deluxe will freeze within 10 minutes or less of starting it up, no matter what I'm doing. Before it freezes, it runs perfectly fine, though when it's starting up it can lag a bit. I made sure that my game was updated/patched and made sure that my video card drivers were updated. I used my Comodo Antivirus and TechSpot.com's virus/spyware/malware removal as well which can be found here
http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic58138.html . I have no custom content and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling The Sims 2 Double Deluxe after everything. I've defragmented all my drives, emptied out all the junk (by uninstalling unused programs and running CCleaner a million times). I've also tried turning down the graphics quality and the sound quality. It didn't make any difference whatsoever. Nothing's worked and it's getting quite frustrating.
