I'm using one of those active desktops by IBM and here it is: the features (from top to bottom)

1. Wireless Signal Strength
2. Connection Speed
3. Incoming Mails
4. Battery Life
5. HD space

I WOULD post my Walpaper BUT its just one of the "generics" from Win Xp ( Stonehenge) with your usual clutter

im ALWAYS looking for good Desktop wallpaper Smile

Actually I rarely even see my desktop, run almost all apps in full screen mode or have multiple windows open at a time. When no apps are open I'm not at the computer, just let my screen saver run so I just use one color (Blue)for my desktop.

Well, I don't have a clue how to take a screen shot of my desktop but I usually have something up from pchugclub.com. My daughters love it! My oldest is constantly amazed that I've changed it again!
Much like MajorSpaceCase, though, I don't see it often. Only when I'm done on the computer and the screen saver hasn't started yet.

I also frequently use pics of my kids on the computer at work. They're just so cute! (And I'm at work so I can't hear the whining!)

When you click on 'Add Reply' and then click on the IMG button, enter the url to the image.

you should upload it to a free host, but some free hosts dont allow "hot linking"
