Rss Reader Needed

I'm a recent convert from Windows and have enjoyed the past month of running SuSE full time. I've dabbled in Linux for a couple of years, but I've switched now and will never look back again, except to game of course.

What I'm still aching for is my RSS reader back from Windows. Does anyone have any experience with anything other than what I've already used? I've tried BottomFeeder
[http://www.cincomsmalltalk.com/BottomFeeder/screenshots.html] and liked it fairly well, but the lack of it loading images and its overall 'clunkiness' steered be away. RSSOwl [http://rssowl.sf.net] is also good, but still very premature and in need of polishing.

So if anyone can recommend anything, I would greatly appreciate it. I just want something easy to install and use, as I'm still no expert at compling my own programs from scratch. I'm not opposed to using Wine to emulate windows and run one that way, but I'd like to save that as a last resort if possible. But if you've had luck with a particular Windows RSS reader and wine, I'd appreciate the feedback anyway.

It's a set of php scripts that do all the aggregation server-side. It's nice in that I can run it from home and work, and it tracks what I've read.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been using it for a couple of days now and my only regret is that I haven't found it sooner! Fantastic program. I'm already looking forward though to the developer's next release, which looks like it will be a major upgrade, making customizing the look and feel a lot easier.

Two thumbs up form this Gnomie for feed on feeds!

well like linux I only dabble thus far with rss I've tried one for windows and plan on trying lg's official rss feeder as well try that its supposed to be cross paltform. or snownews I here is good.

a FREE RSS aggregator I use and am satisfied with is AWASU(www.awasu.com).
I think they now support Linux; use the FAQ'S and message board. Ask questions I have always gotten a response, it may take 24/48 hours, but they take the time to answer and help.. If you want more control you can upgrade..

Well, heck, for what it's worth, I'll mention my favorite Linux RSS reader...Straw. Super easy to set up and use. Designed for Gnome.

I don't know if you've ever heard of FeedDemon, but it's by far the best reader you can get. The problem is that it's $30 (but more than worth the cost).

I've been using Abilon for a while now, and it's just about the closest thing to feeddemon you are going to find for free. It's the free version of it's big brother active refresh, but the differences between the 2 are hardly worth noting. It has very similar features and interface, and (my favorite part) it saves articles for as long as you tell it to.
EDIT: Actually i found Sauce Reader, which is also very similar to feeddemon. It's still in beta, so it's probably not 100% stable, and you'll need to pick up the .net framework from windows update to use it

You can also try the newsreader that's built into Deepnet Explorer. It's simple to use, saves old articles, but lacks a lot of features that abilon and feeddemon have. It's also a little buggy
