Last year I had somebody to share the room with that I met in the forums. I was wondering... anybody going alone [preferably not a child molester... preferably someone who is my age- 16]? It greatly cuts down on the room cost. So, care to share a room with me? (Sounds desperate, eh?)

I'm not a child molester or anything but I'm 43 years old. I do have a room reserved with 2 doubles at the Savery and would like to share with a non-smoking roommate.

KCJeff,
I am very much interested in sharing the room. How many days did you book for? Also, the cheapest airfaire I can find from SJC to DSM was for about $300. Maybe somebody can steer me in the right direction for a cheaper airfaire. My email is watuzi326 RemoveThis @yahoo.com

Was just checking airfares this morning for myself, and currently it seems that prices everywhere (at least for my most frequent destinations, which include DM) have been jacked skyhigh. Right now the fare I see from SFO to DSM is $293... (guessing that San Jose probably has similar prices) I would say that if you can wait a few weeks to buy (and it will still be 6 weeks to Gnomedex at the end of this week), it will probably drop.

It does depend on if you hit at the right time, but normally I can get fares to DM for around $230, sometimes even around $190. Honestly, I don't think it will get much higher than where it's at right now, so why not give it a couple weeks?

(This is, of course, my personal opinion and is only to be taken as such; I very well could find myself facing a steeply-priced ticket, too.) Smile
