Some of what he says makes sense, some of it doesn't. For example, while I don't like the way the UN or NATO are run, I don't think we should withdraw from them as he does. I like his ideas of states rights, but I think he goes to far when he want's to abolish most federal agencies, mostly because we can't just eliminate them (our country is too dependent on them). I very much agree with his ideas on the Constitution (he said that he'll "never vote for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution.").
