Voting Republican can seriously damage your manhood
Quote:
Apparently the male GOP and Barr voters reported feelings of "unhappiness" and "submissiveness" following the crushing defeat of their chosen national leaders.

"This is a pretty powerful result," says LaBar. "Voters are physiologically affected by having their candidate win or lose an election."

"Voters participate in elections both directly by casting their ballots, and vicariously because they don't personally win or lose the election," adds postdoc researcher Steven Stanton. "This makes democratic political elections highly unique dominance contests."

I am sure normal hormone levels have resumed by now. Laughing

I thought that this was very funny.

I wonder if the same thing had happened to the democrats,
in previous elections

I thought so too. Very Happy

But, as with all research, I await independent confirmation. In my case, my beard didn't stop growing, my sex drive did not diminish my voice did not get higher, and my bald spot did not disappear, so I suspect my testosterone levels remained as usual. Laughing

I suggest, that in your great despair, you didn't notice,
and after liberal amounts of the appropriate medication, ethanol,
you woke up in the morning with your levels restored. Laughing

But, to return to a serious note,
I would have liked to see how long this affect lasted,
but as it is not as "news worthy", I suspect we will never find out.

More interesting to me would be why. Is this the result of losing in general? Does this happen whenever men lose? I'd love to see this applied to something like the upcoming World Series - both on the fans and on the players.

Home team wins, in my observation,
increase the happiness level of the local population.

And, from what I have observed,
the smaller the population, the greater the happiness level.

Right - I'm wondering if testosterone levels follow suit.
