Need A Replacement For Myvitalagent

I have been using MyVitalAgent to monitor my connection speed since my ISP is not very reliable in terms of offering maximum speed that my modem would allow. I often have to disconnect because it gives me speed less than 28kbps. My modem is a 56kpbs.

MyVitalAgent program is not supported anymore and would appreciate any suggestion for a free software that could adequately provide same information i.e connection speed, cumulative time spent on the internet on one month, modem compression etc.

I would really prefer a free software rather than a commercial one since buying from my location is impossible or rather really complicated.
