One of the concerns that I've had about RSS is the issue when people can't get to their computer every day and start their aggregator (for example, if they are on vacation) to get the latest updates. With e-mail, it will just sit on the server waiting to be downloaded (unless you reach your limit, of course), but AFAIK, RSS does not have anything like this. If the feed is completely re-written each day, but someone misses 2 or 3 days of downloading the headlines, how do they get the ones they missed? Just wondering if there is any known solution to this issue.....

This is one of the advantages of using a web-based news aggregator, like our service, Bloglines. There are other advantages as well, like being able to access your subscriptions from any net connected machine (like an Internet cafe when you're on vacation). We're also able to offer a full text search on not only the feeds you're subscribed to, but also all the feeds other people are subscribed to as well, making it easier to find and subscribe to feeds.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Another option is an aggregator like NewsGator which you can just leave running in your email client (just leave the computer on and NewsGator will happily capture all your feeds).

A server side aggregator like BlogLines is also another great option for this.
