| Hmmm.. Sounds like he's a couple of sausages short of a barbeque. Likes to run around in police uniform, carries guns onto commercial flights. Maybe he's the one who should be sitting in a prison cell.
It certainly isn't anything new for people to discriminate against their own kind though. Secretly gay pollies have been notorious for often being the most vindictive towards homosexuals in the past (just one example).

OK. IF (big IF) there is a officer who pulls people over without cause just because they are black, that's wrong.
That being said, the constant barrage of complaints of racial profiling are getting old. Too many people who get pulled over who happen to be black decide that it was racial profiling, because of course they weren't doing anything wrong (yeah, right).
From the article, Jackson in 71% black! Statistically, then, the majority of people pulled over should be black (gasp!). That doesn't mean anybody was profiling anybody. It's just too easy to cry "racial profiling", because everybody knows that the ACLU will jump in and defend you.
I agree with the mayor:

I wasn't really disagreeing with you. There's no problem with putting out a full description when a crime has been committed. But the concern in the article is:
| Quote: |
| The accusations against Mayor Frank Melton and police are based on complaints from people who say they were pulled over on the basis of their race and searched without probable cause. |
I think people should have the right to walk the streets without being searched unless reasonably suspected of having committed a crime.

Right there is a perfect example of racial profiling. |

I was an officer in a city that was about 95% black and we were not to use racial profiling and this was quite some time ago. |

How dare you try to do that!
My comment had NOTHING to do with the race of those pulled over. It had to do with believing hat the police pull people over for a reason!!!
Next time, leave the personal attacks out of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And that is the irony! He is going to pull over his wife and daughter? Get real! But I guess in the eyes of the Clueless Union, yep! |

Oh, but they do dare. How else could you accuse a black man of racism against his own race. Logic has nothing to do with it. Simply put, they make up racism when it suits them, facts be damned. |
