| Yea, been following this story. Pretty good excuse they are using. when someone calls they say they are unaware of this offer. Hope they get their pants sued off, and a judge desolves the buy out they got.

Well first off..... you'd have to be on AT&T service....second off, you'd have to be within just so many feet of a "switch" to even get DSL.
I know from what I speak, because I'm just 1000' (about three blocks) beyond the limit to get DSL from my Telephone Service Provider.
My local provider could be offering DSL for $5 and I still couldn't get it.
I'm lucky to have my funky Satellite connection for $49 per month. It's far from perfect, but quite a bit faster than dial-up for large downloads.
