I can't help much with a cure for you, I've been having the same/similar thing with my connection too, but as a temporary workaround, rebooting the router cures it for me.
If you have your connection through your network socket as opposed to a USB connection, another temp cure, is to right-click the network connection icon in the system tray, and select 'Repair'. That often kicks things back to life again.
