Could be many different reasons. Could be your email client. Could be your or your ISP's spam filter. Could be a that you accidentally unsubscribed. Could be that a stray character got stuck in the email address that you have listed in your profile. The list goes on and on.

First, go and check that ALL your settings are correct including your email address (it happens, we've all done it; you can inadvertently click the wrong thing or hit the wrong key) . Definitely look in your spam folder. make sure that your subscription is still active.

If that all checks out then we need some more info. How do you access your email? (Outlook? Thunderbird? Web mail?) What is your email domain? (i.e. verizon.net, comcast.net. gmail.com) Are there any other lists that you subscribe to that come in fine?

I Use Seamonkey ( based on Netscape )
my isp timewarner, road runner
Went to my profile under lockergnome and updated email address
and cannot get confirmation letter about change.
I get email from other web sites no problem so far

My old address has been there since 06 and I still got email so I don't think that is problem Thanks again

I would bet that your ISP is the cause of this.

Access your email on their site via the webmail interface. Check to see if anything is in your spam box. If the missing emails are there then you may need to add the lockergnome email address to your whitelist.

There is also probably a way of turning off their Spam filter (Verizon has this option I don't know if RR does). Turning it off will result in all spam getting through to your inbox. IIRC Seamonkey is almost identical to Thunderbird which has it's own spam filter that you can train.

There is also the possibility that RR is blocking all mail from Lockergnome's server. I had a similar problem a while back when Comcast was blocking anything that went through Dreamhost. It took a while to get it resolved. If this is the case then RR customer support *should* be able to help you.

I found this on another site. Hopefully it is not the case.:

For Road Runner subscribers
Road Runner often blocks large ranges of IP addresses in an effort to protect its network from spam. Legitimate e-mail senders often get blocked in the process. It's as if Road Runner were blocking all incoming phone calls from an entire area code because of problematic phone calls from a specific phone number. Other than complaining to Road Runner's customer service, there isn't much you as a Road Runner customer are empowered to do to fix this situation. We are taking steps to resolve the issue with Road Runner; however, in the meantime, you may want to subscribe to our e-mails using an alternate address.

If none of these work then simply set up a separate email address for subscriptions. Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo are just a few of the many possibilities. Seamonkey can handle multiple email accounts.

Typically you only get a confirmation email if you change your email address or password. (Maybe an administrator can confirm this.)

Good luck. No reason why it shouldn't but I hope that gets solved too.

For many reasons, I created a GMail address for myself some time ago.
I get NO spam on that address and I download my mail from GMail using Outlook Express.

However I go to my GMail account via Webmail at least once a week to check for things in my Spam folder. I've found emails from friends and some newsletters in that folder and I just mark them "NOT SPAM" so they won't wind up in there again.

It's a very minor inconvenience to assure that my PC won't be bombed with unwanted email.

And GMail is FREE!

Cheers Mates!
