I am not trying to print out the attachments. I just want to print out the e-mail and have the Attachment line which lists the attachments print out. How can I do this? I am using an Old version of Outlook (2000).

I'd have to say that's NOT possible, but then I don't use Outlook.

The ONLY way I can think of right off is to do a screen / image capture, treating the whole thing as a "picture".

A good (& FREE) program to do this is SNAGIT. They have a deal now that you can download an older version (don't recall which one) & get a free key for it.

I found a work around!
1. Open the HTML email from your inbox
2. Go to 'edit' menu and select 'edit message'
3. Then go to 'format menu' and select 'Plain text' and press 'Yes'
4. Then go to 'File menu' - Page setup - and select 'Memo style'
5. Then print and you will get it with the attachment on it.
6. If you want the content of the attachment also printed, then tick 'Print attached file with item(s)'option from the print window.

OK, glad to see you found a way.

Been years since I last used OUTLOOK but I do seem to recall SOMETHING like that being use to print something else in an email. So this may very well be worth noting for future reference. (which I am doing) - (& also checking it out in other email clients)

NOTE: checked it in thunderbird (linux - but should be same as M$) - didn't see any correlation so I guess it won't work there. For me, I'd probably just do as I posted earlier, anyway. --- BUT, that doesn't mean it is worthless, especially to someone else. (& appears as written to be the intended use of those settings)

BTW: what are you needing such a hardcopy for anyway? - Just curious...

We have to file certain emails with client folders and dont always want pages and pages of attachments. So if we know what attachments go with the email then we can just print them as needed. Smile

OK, well that makes sense.

Given that, you'd think that function would be easily & readily available in ALL email clients. - (Hint, Hint, to developers) Wink

I never cease to be amazed, as I sit here reading dozens of forums, at what people want to do or need to do with their computers.

My own uses are pretty simple, compared to others.

For years I jumped from one screen print program to another, till one day my Software Guru put me onto "Photo Filtre". No, I didn't misspell the name....it's written in France.
http://photofiltre.en.softonic.com/

I installed "Photo Filtre" and put a shortcut to it in my Quick Launch Toolbar.
It's a most excellent Photo editor/manager.

With the Photo Filtre icon in my QL toolbar, if I want t screen print, I just press the
"Print Screen" key at the top-right of my keyboard, then I open Photo Filtre from the QL toolbar and in the big blank window, I right click and select "Paste as new image".

My screen is now displayed in Photo Filtre and I can crop it, re-size it and/or do many other corrections, like brightness and contrast.
I can even overlay the picture with text, to point out or annotate some feature.

I look back over the years and wonder how I ever got along without "Photo Filtre".

Ok.....I know this doesn't solve the problem that prompted this thread, but maybe someone reading this will find it useful. I hope.......

Y'all have a great day now, Y'hear?
