I have a friend who purchased, downloaded, and installed Pictueka. She asked me in an Email if I could help her. I told her I would ask in the TechSupport Forum. Here's an excerpt from her Email:
"I'm at my wit's end here and Oberon has not been able to help me to my satisfaction, so I'm turning to you in hopes that you might have a solution for me. I purchased another add-on game for pogo (Pictureka) as I have purchased and played many others with no problems. It installed fine (from a download here:
Pogo Pictureka
and was able to enter my registry key with no problems. However, when I
try to launch the game, I get the following error:
Error: Access violation at 0x01C9B85C or 0x01D0B85 or many other 0x***B85C combinations (tried to read from 0x00000000), program terminated.
Oberon had me turn off Dep for the program but that didn't help. They had me download and reinstall and that didn't help. I've updated flash, my video card driver and have made sure all other drivers are up to date. I run a Dell XPS-M410 with Dual 2.66Ghz processors, 4 gigs of ram on Vista 32. My video card is a 128mb Nvidia 8300GS If you have any ideas on what I can do to fix this please let me know. I let my daughter use my reg key and it worked fine on her XP system. This is driving me nuts as I am usually pretty self-sufficient when it comes to fixing errors."
Her Vista requirements exceed those required by Pictureka.
Pictureka System Requirements are:
Windows XP: P3 500MHz with 256MB memory.
Windows Vista: P4 1.4GHz CPU with 1024MB memory.
65MB hard drive space.
32 MB Video card.
16 bit Sound Card.
IE 5.0.
DirectX 7
Can anyone shed some light on her problem?
