Peerguardian2 and the huge history.db file

I've had Peerguardian2 for a few months now. The history.db file within the program directory has grown to a wopping size - 1.3GB.

I simply cannot afford to keep such a huge file on my notebook's 30GB HDD.

Peerguardian appears to keep my BItcomet application running smoothly (by keeping out government blocks, etc..)

My question is how do I deal with this huge (and growing) database file?

I doubt there is much you can do. As far as i know and read
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/pe...an_2_review.cfm
Its not even been released yet. just a test beta verion of it.
And you might want to read this to see if its really doing what you want it to.

Allo persianpower Smile

1.3Gb history.db file??? OMG!!!!

How long have you been using it???? I installed my PG 2 approx June last year and updated every day or as available and mine is only 3.5Mb!!!

It might be worth stopping the program and renaming the history.db file to history.old for example, then running Peer Guardian again... If it crashes, just rename the file back as it was.... If it works after checking for updates, just delete the old file and carry on with the newer slimmer one.

I don't know WHY it got that big though.... Have you checked the lists contents from the manager??? There might be several lists duplicated there...... Also, it might be worth checking that it isn't keeping a log of all stoppages etc....
