In response to the person (Spammer) that opened this thread, I responded thusly.

Hellen,

DON'T SPAM THIS BOARD!

THIS IS "PROBLEM SOLVERS"......AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM, THEN DON'T POST HERE.

The same spammer posted to at least four other boards at LG Forums

I complained in the board features section that there is no longer a button to even report spam posts and got no reply to it.

I guess Lockergnome doesn't want to deal with spam posts. I'll give the site another week or two but after that, I'll wipe my bookmark and move elsewhere.

The lack of a report button is a problem, but don't think that we aren't actively getting rid of spam when we see it. I check all new posts in the General section several times per day and delete/ip ban new accounts that come in and post obvious spam messages (notice the original spam post is gone along with the other threads?). I'm not the only mod that has removed spam in the last month either.

silmaril8n, my criticism was not directed to you nor the other mods and admins doing the job here.
Rather that steve, the forum tweaker, couldn't be bothered to say "it can't be done on this forum software" or "I'll check into it"...just something to acknowledge that he saw there is a problem.
The admins and mods would have an easier time eliminating junk posts if they could be reported rather than you having to sift through all the new posts each time you come here. Your time is worth something, even if the job is a volunteer one.

Hello,

The report button should now be present. Please verify that you see it.

Thank you.

Yes, I can see it here, aside of the PM button.
Great!!! Thanks Steve or who over turned the switch on. Very Happy

Okay, it is strange because it doesn't appear on every post.

Doc, it won't appear on the posts you write and it also won't appear on any mod/admin posts but it should start appearing on the newer posts.
Clear your LG browser cache/refresh the page and see what you get. It should appear on my post so you can report me.

Well Doc, that ought to keep me in line! Very Happy
Actually this thread is a bad example because it only contains posts from 4 people: you, me and two admins.
You can't report admins nor yourself so that leaves me to report, LOL!
