| I have used Adobe reader and various other pdf readers and they all leave garbage in my registry that causes my computer to slow down. After every PDF download , I have to run a registry cleaner to get my computer running to speed again. Any freeware PDF download available that doesn’t clutter the registry? Thanks

Hello,
The registry is where programs written for Microsoft Windows are supposed to store their settings, so I do not think you are going to find a PDF viewer that operates completely free of it, but perhaps one of the PDF readers listed below will work better for you.
Foxit Software - Foxit Reader
Krzysztof Kowalczyk - Sumatra PDF
Tracker Software Products - PDF-XChange Viewer
I understand that Sumatra PDF is a very small download, so would expect it to be very light from a resource utilization perspective.
You might want to spend some time investigating why your computer slows down so much after viewing a PDF file. I have never noticed any such problems after viewing them, and I read quite a bit of documentation as well as things like ebooks that are saved in PDF format. Perhaps there is a problem with your computer's hard disk drive or file system?
