Forgive me if this is some where on the site but i looked and looked.

I have a client running a Server 2008 r2 domain enviroment. A seperate server running Exchange 07.

A user in the domain was running an xp machine that crashed. No big deal docs, desktop, and favorites are being backed up to the storage server.

New computer is in docs favs desktop exchange. Everything appears good. Clients calls today. Most of his contacts are not there. He was apparently storing all contacts in BCM.

I am not familiar with BCM as i have never used it. From what i am reading BCM creates a database that stores contacts on the local machine. Is there a way BCM integrates with exchange?

I just took this client over 4 months ago. I did not set up the exchange server and see no reference to BCM anywhere in the domain. This is the first user to have this issue, but this is the second time this has happened for this user. This user lost all contacts once before due to the same issue (just found this out).

The hard drive from the computer that "died" is encrypted with truecrypt and i do not have the recovery disk.

I pretty much think he is SOL but for my own knowledge any information on BCM would be much appreciated.
