President Barack Obama has only been in office for just over nine months, but he's already hit the links as much as President Bush did in over two years.

CBS' Mark Knoller — an unofficial documentarian and statistician of all things White House-related — wrote on his Twitter feed that, "Today - Obama ties Pres. Bush in the number of rounds of golf played in office: 24.
...

First: I'm not criticizing Obama on this one. I personally think you need a stress relief, and if it's golf for Obama, great.

What I'd like to know is what happened to all those on this board who complained so loudly about Bush playing golf while he was "overseeing two wars". Well, Obama's overseeing two wars (and not making decisions about at least one of them), overseeing the largest government take-over of businesses ever, overseeing an economic recovery, overseeing a health care takeover, etc. Why aren't you just as loud now?

I don't know if you call that a lie. Is someone who states he is giving up cigarettes and smokes a cigarette two days later a liar? I can think of many things to call such a person, but liar is not one of them.

Given the number of people world wide who play golf obsessively, it seems to me possible that golf and cigrarettes may have something in common... Very Happy

Calling Bush a liar may be a similar obsession among some folks... Laughing

The White House press office declined to comment on Mr Obama’s golf outings and few official details have been released. The president’s handicap appears to be a closely guarded secret.

The more time he's on the golf course the less time he has to screw up the country! Play on BHO play on, take the little lady out on a date go visit someone all of these things are much less expensive to the average person than when you are trying to help us! Exclamation

p.s. I still believe his intent is to deliberately collapse the US economy, it's the only logical explanation for the moves he has made so far.
