So,
to make this as easy as possible ill list what i've done so far.

I'm getting the common ntldr error.
I had Vista 32bit.
I have a new harddrive.
The old harddrive with the 32bit OS is not connected to computer anymore.
I have a secondary harddrive, which i had when i was using vista, but it had no os installed on it, and that one is still connected.
I have tried it without the secondary harddrive aforementioned.
I have a copy of windows 7 im trying to boot from. but I keep getting ntldr error.
I have triple checked boot order and tried to boot from two cd/dvd drives.
I have cleared cmos several times.
I have used two different cd/dvd drives.
I'm am at a total loss and would appreciate any insight.

NTLDR Error applies to the Windows XP operating system, including Windows XP Professional and Windows XP Home Edition. Windows 7 and Windows Vista do not utilize NTLDR.

You should not be seeing this error if you have a new hard drive which you are trying to install Win 7 on.

I think you need to go into the BIOS and see what is set as the boot device. Because your computer is looking for the hd with XP on it.

Hi...just went thru this problem myself. Solution that worked for me was to go into the BIOS and REMOVE the harddrive entry completely from the boot up sequence. I was able to install WinXP and format with no problems. Hope this helps.........
