Ms Office 2003 Problem

Whenever I try to open Excel or Word it installs something or the other before it opens. What can I do to prevent this?

I think you may have posted this too high in the forum this area is not generally read.

Ok do you have administrative rights on the computer - this will cause this action of trying to install something if you don't have rights it will not install and then the same for the next time and then you get into a loop.

You will need to go to the control panel and select user accounts this should tell you your rights on that computer.

I have got administrative rights.

When you try to run office and this pops up do you let it finish or do you abort it? I'd put your Office disk in your cd-rom drive and then try and run office. Let the program find what it needs. There was a recent update to Office that required the CD. I've had several customers call about this.

I unistalled office and reinstalled it and the problem is gone. Thanks guys.
