Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing okay stop laughing.

my sister is slow as moss growing on air.

she had lots of ms works wdb files and never got them changed over
i had got the ms word viewer 2003 program to read any ms file so she could
do that.

well it don't read them now. she wants to convert them but i can't get open office to do so. it says i have open office 3.2 and there is version 3.3 out but it won't update or install the 3.3 one it keeps installing the 3.2 version when i download the newest file.

so will that program even read those old wdb files with any plugins or do we have to find that old works cd and add those old messed up files back in to the system just to convert the wdb files.

i really don't want to re add that works program. not after i've finally got this xp pro sp3 fairly clean now, it might throw up when it gets that old thing in the system Rolling Eyes

is there any program that is able to read those files i'm getting tired of my sister yelling like i did it some how by just looking at the computer, like i willed it to mess up.. after all i did get that other program for her to view them with, but i'm getting the blame for her not doing the converting.

i know your thinking well then just stick works back in and if it messes up the computer its her fault. but i'll get stuck trying to fix it again and hearing more yellin.

so i'm here looking for some help to get my ears relaxed and back in a quit zone. can anyone tell me what program or update i have to get to make that file format be read again? Confused

Cool

Hello,

Perhaps the Office Microsoft Works 6–9 File Converter can be used to load the documents into Microsoft Word 2003 or 2007? It might also work with Word 2010, but doesn't mention compatibility with that, though.

Regards,
