New Messages In Newsgator

The basics:

Win98 SE
Outlook XP (2002)
Newsgator 1.3.0.9

Newsgator was configured to filter all RSS feeds into a folder called NewsGator. Within NewsGator the option was "checked" for it to create subfolders for each RSS feed.

Now when Newsgator goes out and grabs the feeds on an hourly basis, I would suspect that the Outlook shortcut would show that there are new messages in the feed folders if that were the case. However, this does not happen. There can be X amount of new messages from the feeds but I do NOT get a (X number of new messages) after the title of the folder like i do with, for example, "inbox(16)" if there are 16 unread messages in the inbox.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

If you have told it to create subfolders, it will only highlight the subfolders when there is something in them - not the master folder. The same is true if you created subfolders under your inbox, say, and moved something to them, only the subfolder would show if you have unread items, not the inbox folder itself.
