How the He__ do I remove this piece of Cr__. It leaks memory like a sieve and stops responding after it has been running for an extended period of time. Evil or Very Mad

You don't remove it because it is probably part of the motherboard drivers.
What you do is prevent it from running at startup. Startup Control Panel will work if you run XP or older; if running Vista or Win 7 then use WinPatrol. Both programs allow you to look over what runs at startup and prevent whatever you select to not run at startup. This is a better method than using msconfig to control startup items.

Hello,

I am not familiar with this particular audio mixer, but I would guess that it is started from the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] key. I would recommend making a backup before you edit the registry, just in case a problem occurs during removal.

I found this listing of drivers on C-Media's web site. perhaps one of them will work better for you than what is currently installed on the computer.

Regards,
