Oh, they're still around. Frankly, I've noticed a bit of loosening up on their individual shows. More with Matthews than Olbermann, because MSNBC has never tried to promote MSNBC or Countdown as "fair and balanced". We all know the show has a liberal bent, although Keith will criticize the Dems when warranted.

Matthews used to irritate me because he'd never challenge the Republican talking heads for never answering the question. Lately he doesn't put up with exaggerated talking points taking up precious air time. He flat out tells them to stop it, it's nonsense.

And now the liberals have The Rachael Maddow Show. She's still on Air America too.

Why do you think that is? Because there is a market for it. It's the money, stupid! (Just a play on words. I'm not calling you stupid.) So they're doing it for the money? Fine. At least the liberals are finally getting a consistent voice in cable media after years of conservative dominance.

P.S. Obama should have unleashed the 527's weeks ago, when McCain switched his team to the Rove people. The writing was on the wall then.

Yeah, that's why their ratings are horrible. MSNBC is the most blatantly biased cable network, and only those who want extremist left wing views watch. Everyone else watches Fox.

I realize they're still around and I sometimes watch Matthews but Olbermann is too far over the top for me perhaps if he spent less time criticizing
his competition Bill O'Reilly who has three times his audience he would fair better.

If Rachael Maddow has an audience by all means let her have her time I have no problem with letting the Market decide what's on and what's' not I do have a problem with the "Fairness Doctrine" which would destroy free speech on our airways. The reason Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, Beck, Laura Ingram, Allen Colmes, and many more are so successful is there is a demand for their message.

Personally I'm sick of all the personal attacks most voters aren't stupid we already know what's wrong tell me what your going to do to fix it!
Please stop telling me what a jerk your opponent is or how out of touch he is or how religious or how old or how liberal or whatever else !
Tell me your plan to remedy the fix were in. It's gotten to the point where a candidate doesn't dare tell the truth about where they stand for fear of offending some people or even worse giving the media a talking point to beat them over the head with.

It would be refreshing to have candidates who said what they think and meant what they said.

Let's clean up Washington, all it would take is term limits and the line item veto. Being a Senator or Congressman is a sweet gig all they have to do is serve a few years and it's a pension for life.

Sorry I slipped off topic it was just a personal rant. Embarassed
