As some of you may know I am one of the few people that specializes in real-time collaboration tools that are alternatives to enterprise, high-ticket web conferencing systems lie WebEx and Microsoft Live Meeting and many others.
As I continuosly test personally each and every new technology that comes on the market I had been encountering many problems with a new VERY INTERESTING and promising live collaboration tool called ASAP (by convoq -

While testing several problems I was encountering as a Beta Tester something came up that maybe of interest to Chris and to the company who developed the Lockergnome RSS Feeder. Here is an excerpt from my exchange with Dan Teven, Architect, Applied Messaging Corporation/Convoq:

"I can confirm that it's an incompatibility with the Lockergnome News Feeder.
Lockergnome installs its own private copy of the Flash player, called Feeder.bin. (Incidentally, this appears to be a violation of Macromedia's license agreement.)
Because Lockergnome allows Feeder.bin to take over the COM registration
information for Flash, ASAP (and other applications) will load C:\Program Files\Lockergnome\Feeder.bin instead of C:\Winnt\System32\Macromed\Flash\Flash.ocx.
Thanks for your help in tracking this down." |
I hope this maybe of help in making your Lockergnome RSS Feeder a b...er tool
