Premier Casting U.S. Withdrawal as Iraq Victory
Quote:
Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki has taken to calling the withdrawal of American combat troops from Iraq’s cities by next Tuesday a “great victory,” a repulsion of foreign occupiers he compares to the rebellion against British troops in 1920.

And why not? Haven't you told us that the Iraqi's have been demanding the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq for years? Now that you've gotten what you wanted you critique it? I don't know about you but I would look at our withdrawal as an Iraqi vicrtory in the same way I look at it as an Obama failure.
As for the Iraqi people they have an opportunity to better themselves they would not have ever had under Saddam and his sons. What they do with that opportunity is now up to them.

It was the bush administration that was forced to sign the Status of Forces agreement,
not Obama.

Yes it was, DUH!!! Did you have to look that up? Oh, and I didn't see anyone twisting President Bush's arm to sign it so I don't know what you mean by "forced". Maybe the deadline imposed by the UN resolutions? Why would we care about those since according to you we started the war illegally and are there illegally anyway? Ahhh, but I digress....

You should really try harder, your not even warm. Keep trying though Ken. Here, I posted it again for you . Maybe you'll figure out what it was I really said but I doubt it. Laughing
