I have just installed iPodder, and have subscribed to several feeds (Leo's radio feed, for instance). Now iPodder seems to want to download everything in each subscribed feed, since all items are "new". Doing just what it's supposed to do, I know.
But I am already up-to-date on the material, having already downloaded it all manually. I don't want to download several hours of audio all over again. How do I designate feed items as "already downloaded/not-new"?
I only want stuff that is new to me, not new to iPodder. Also there may be future topics I am uninterested in, and would like like to pick and choose my downloads at times.
Any help with this is appreciated.
Are there other apps besides iPodder that would work for me?

You may want to try the beta of version 2 of ipodder lemon.
Adam Curry has been asking about the catchup/vacation type of
feature.
Now this is weird, as I was typing this listing to his 2/6 DailySourceCode show at 1:06(one hour 6minutes) he was talking about that feature and play a clip on a new downloader called PlayPod with the feature to keep you from catching up.

Also try out Primetime Podcast Receiver. This is Windows software. The top features:

1. Embedded media player
2. WMP and iTunes playlist support
3. Automatic bookmarking support for iTunes/iPod/PPR users
4. Numerous independent integrated podcast directories
5. View podcasts by title, date, feed, or most recent

PPR also has configurable catch-up capability.

Let me know what you think, or if you have questions.
