Hello,

What type of computer security software, if any, is installed on your computer?

Also, what else can you tell us about your network. Cable? DSL? Looks like you're probably behind router as you have a private IP and DHCP is running. What kind?

Hello,

Have you made any changes to either Windows Firewall or Windows Defender's settings?

Answering Silmaril8n's questions about the type of network connection and brands and models of the networking gear involved will be helpful to know, too.

Shut I hate when I forget to list the specifics like that! Um let me say that I havent made any changes to anything and that I am hooked up to a "netgear" router that gets its signal from a motorola surfboard cable modem. But there is also a vonage telephone service modem or router inline too.So it goes Cable internet,to the surfboard modem, out of that to the vonage modem or router, out of that to the "netgaer" router! there are 4 ethernet outputs on that router and a wireless signal too!! There is my comp and 1 other desktop using 2 out of the 4 ethernet outputs of the router and at any given time up to 2 laptops using the wireless signal. And none of us have any problem with the internet except what I've described above! And let add that before the netgear router was in play that the other desktop and mine would switch ethernet cables between us to get online using the single ethernet output of the vonage modem. And I still had the same problem. Let me also add that at a different persons house altogether that I had run a ethernet cable from out of the back of their vonage modem/router (it happen to have 2 or 3 outputs) and I didnt have this problem then. Both vonage modems are made by Motorola.(not sure of their model # or name)
