| In the past few weeks I have had an occasional problem connecting to my dial-up service. I get an error message saying "Error 711, A configuration error is preventing the connection". If I re-boot, the error message doesn't repeat and I get a connection. My OS is XP, SP2. I checked the KB for this error and nothing listed seems to apply to my problem. My service tech support suggested at first that I had a hardware problem, and when I checked with them again, the same person said my RAS.pbk file was probably corrupt. Unfortunately my computer only came with a recovery disk and not a full Windows XP disk. Can anyone suggest a solution?
